Rats
Overview
Norway rats are the dominant rat species in our service area, burrowing around foundations, in crawl spaces, and under decks. They are strong swimmers and excellent climbers.
Warning Signs
- Burrow holes around foundation or garden beds
- Rub marks along walls or pipes
- Large droppings (¾ inch) near food sources
- Damaged exterior of home near ground level
Health & Property Risks
Rats spread leptospirosis, rat-bite fever, and other diseases. They cause significant structural damage and can contaminate large quantities of food.
How We Treat It
Exterior bait stations, burrow baiting, and interior trapping combined with exclusion work. We identify and seal all entry points larger than ½ inch.
