Mice
Overview
House mice are year-round pests in NY and NJ, but populations spike in fall as temperatures drop. A single mouse can squeeze through a gap the size of a dime and reproduce rapidly once inside.
Warning Signs
- Droppings along baseboards or in drawers
- Gnaw marks on food packaging or wood
- Nesting material in dark, undisturbed areas
- Scratching sounds at night
Health & Property Risks
Mice contaminate food, gnaw electrical wiring (a fire hazard), and spread diseases including hantavirus and salmonella.
How We Treat It
We combine exclusion (sealing entry points) with interior trapping and bait stations to eliminate active populations and prevent re-entry.
